Joe is an accomplished leader with 25 years of experience in supply chain management and business development within the oil & gas industry. He has a proven track record as an influential communicator, effective at building strong networks, developing people, optimizing organizational performance, and delivering outstanding commercial results. Joe has extensive experience in all aspects of supply chain management, including category management, strategic sourcing, contracting, buying, inventory & materials management, logistics, transportation, functional excellence, and procure-to-pay. He currently works for the Apache Corporation and is the President of the ISM Houston chapter.

“Overcoming Procurement’s Internal Image Problem” (1 CEU)
In many companies, Procurement has an image problem as a “clerical” function relegated to processing POs once the contract has been negotiated and signed elsewhere.
Yet, as these companies seek to unlock additional sources of value, Procurement must overcome this mistaken image to position itself as a strategic enabler of success for its constituents within the company. During this webinar session, we will explore how Procurement can claim its proper place by understanding shared goals, securing leadership buy-in, and communicating successes.
